Chameleon I - Molecular clouds in the constellation Chameleon
The Chameleon I molecular cloud complex is one of the closest star forming regions. The dark clouds contain several hundred newly formed stars. Some of them are so luminous that they clear their surroundings from gas and dust and form small reflection nebulae.
