IC 5146 - Emission Nebula in the constellation Cygnus (Swan)
The small emission nebula IC 5146 is located at the eastern end of the elongated dark cloud B 186 in the constellation Swan. The central star with its surrounding star cluster excites the gases of the molecular cloud to glow and a small roundish nebula is formed, surrounded by a cocoon of interstellar dust.
