LBN 35 – Emission Nebula in the constellation Ophiuchus (Serpent-Bearer)
The emission nebula LBN 35 in the center of the image is the brightest region in the much larger nebular region around the star Zeta Ophiuchi. A small dark cloud in front of the nebula gives it a distinctive hook-shaped appearance. The entire image is filled with weak red emission nebulae, so there is no "neutral" sky background at this point in the sky.
