NGC 2362 in the constellation Canis Major (the Greater Dog)

This small but fine open star cluster is located in the eastern part of the constellation the Greater Dog. It is dominated by the bright star τ Canis Majoris (τ CMa). This star is a close multiple star system consisting of 3 hot and very massive stars and possibly other fainter components.
