Nebulae around M 78 in the constellation Orion (the Hunter)
The blue reflection nebula M 78 near the center is located in a colorful nebula landscape in the constellation Orion. It is embedded in the large molecular cloud B 33 and is framed to the east by "Barnards Loop", the large red emission nebula in the left half of the image. In the lower right are 2 of Orion's 3 belt stars with the bright flame nebula NGC 2024.
