The Pleiades and their surroundings in the constellation Taurus (the Bull)
The Pleiades are easily visible under a brightened sky as a conspicuous group of stars. Besides the bright blue reflection nebulae around the bright stars of the cluster, there are further faint nebular parts of the Taurus-Auriga dark cloud complex at a greater distance.
