Camelthorn with Milky Way

For a long time, I wanted to use the old camelthorn tree as foreground for a Milky Way image. During this shot, I had additional luck and caught a bright meteor right next to the center of the Milky Way. You can see the two Magellanic Clouds next to the left side of the camel thorn trunk. Towards the horizon, the sky is covered with unstructured reddish airglow. The lights of the airport and the capital Windhoek, about 65 km away, brighten the sky to an altitude of 15 degrees.
For a low-noise foreground, 100 individual images were averaged and then overlaid with the single shot of the sky.
